2024. november 13-án, szerdán tartották meg a Jankovics István Emlékülést Szombathelyen, a városházán. A rendezvény a Magyar Tudomány Ünnepe programsorozatának keretében jött létre és az ELTE Gothard Asztrofizikai Obszervatórium szervezte.
The hungarian astronomical community commemorated the work of István Jankovics.
On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, the István Jankovics Memorial Meeting was held in Szombathely, at the town hall. The event was part of the Hungarian Science Festival program series and was organized by the ELTE Gothard Astrophysical Observatory.
Members of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences' Astronomy and Space Physics Committee, as well as representatives from the Institute of Astronomy and the Geophysical and Space Science Research Institute, participated in the event. The conference was opened by Dr. András Nemény, the mayor of Szombathely.
